Dr. Debra Davidson, Chief Operations Officer

Dr. Davidson has over 30 years of experience in healthcare, beginning her healthcare career as a laboratory/clinic/dental assistant in an infirmary at College of the Ozarks, a work-study college.  She has been director of a medical laboratory, administrator of a medical practice and department director of a hospital-based comprehensive cancer treatment center.  She was instrumental in initiating a mobile health service program that included mammography and other cancer screenings for women, focusing on the medically underserved.  Dr. Davidson’s exposure to Federally Qualified Health Centers began as a Dental Services Director, where she learned to appreciate the special needs of the uninsured populations and the devastating impact on their access to care.

 Dr. Davidson utilizes and shares her experiences that encompasses medical practice operations, office efficiencies, billing and coding compliance, financial management and budgeting. Her background includes substantial experience in developing new programs and expanding existing services, designing new and renovating established facilities. She has recruited physicians and allied health professionals to accommodate growing programs and increasing market share.  She is a successful grant author and administrator of grant funding.

 Dr. Davidson is a certified Medical Technologist MT (ASCP) and holds two Masters Degrees; an MS in Biology from Southwest Missouri State University followed by an MSA in Administration from Central Michigan University.  She later added a graduate certificate in Health Services Administration, and then completed her PhD in Health Service Management from Lacrosse University.

 She continues her commitment to reaching underserved populations, allowing access to health and dental care services as part of ACCESS’s family of care.
