April was born and raised in Joplin. She received her Associate of Radiologic Technology in 1984, and then moved to Florida where she attended the Florida Institute of Ultrasound. Upon completion she moved back to Joplin and has worked for several private physicians, and hospitals, as a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, and Registered Vascular Technologist. She has also served as past President of Greater Ozarks Ultrasound Society. She is registered in OB/GYN, Abdomen/ Small Parts, and Vascular Ultrasound. She also holds a Bachelors of Health Science from MSSU.
April has a son, who she enjoys traveling with, and is a passionate animal rescuer and volunteer for Joplin Humane Society Animal Adoption and Resource Center. Her motto is “Don’t shop. Adopt!”
