Neosho, MO December 12, 2014—Out of twenty nine Community Health Clinics, in Missouri, Access Family Care was one of only ten Clinics recognized for their hard work in the area of high quality patient care. This award was the result of hard work and a strong commitment to serve the people of Southwest Missouri. Winners of these awards had to reach or exceed a standardized national goal percentage set by the Missouri Primary Care Associations (MPCA) Medical Director network, on one of three levels: Bronze (achieving 5 of 8 measures), Silver (6 of 8 measures), and Gold (7 out 8 measures).
During the MPCA annual Clinical and Quality Conference, at the Hilton Convention Center in Branson, Missouri, Access Family Care was honored for providing outstanding, high quality healthcare by MPCA’s Center for Health Care Quality.
Clinical measures for 2014 encompassed diabetes control, hypertension control, cervical cancer screening, weight assessment and counseling for children and adolescents, childhood immunizations, tobacco use assessment, and tobacco cessation intervention. This year, each of the recognized centers was awarded for achieving a Bronze standard. The achievement represented by this award confirms how much Access Family Care strives to improve the health and daily lives of all patients.
ACCESS Family Care (ACCESS), was founded in 1996 as a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) for the purpose of increasing access to primary health care for those who lack medical insurance coverage. As an FQHC, ACCESS receives a 330 Federal grant from the Bureau of Primary Health Care designed to offset the expenses associated with providing sliding fee discounts to patients who demonstrate economic need.

All Clinics are open Monday through Friday, from 08:00 a.m. to 05:00 p.m.; with late hours on Tuesdays, where they are open until 07:00 p.m. The Dental Clinic, in Cassville, closes at 2 p.m., on Fridays.
